We’re returning to Santa Cruz this year for a weekend-long series of events in which students are immersed in the lighter side of flamenco: this fiesta! Direct from Seville, Juan Paredes teams up with the Bay Area’s La Tania, for a weekend retreat, flamenco-style. 

Join us to take dance classes covering bulerías festeras and sevillanas, and then stay to cook with us. You’ll get the recipe and prepare paella, tortilla española, and the delicious asparagus Lola with Seville’s popular maestro, who is sharing rhythm and much more during this 5th-annual tour of the U.S.A. 

The ¿Soniqué? 2019 U.S.A. Tour stops in Santa Cruz, CA, on May 25-26, with a weekend full of activities.

2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Bulerías por fiesta class taught by Juan Paredes
4:00 – 4:30 p.m.,  Cooking with Juan! Enjoy gazpacho & light tapas, begin to cook paella
4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Sevillanas class taught by La Tania
6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Dinner and fiesta

Sunday, May 26
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Coffee Q&A/ charla with Juan Paredes and work with him to prep veggies for later
2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Bulerias por fiesta class taught by Juan Paredes
4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Enjoy tapas; prepare tortilla española, asparagus Lola; light meal
